This quote wonderfully summarizes the experience of living and working on the coast, with it’s thriving art communities. The naturally inspired patterns of wildlife, plants and scenery meet forms that are designed to be a joy to use every day. Details like dock cleats and nylon paracord reference the working aspects of the waterfront as both a visual and tactile element. Every piece is made of porcelain, but unlike the fine china used maybe once in a decade, these are designed with modern living in mind. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, and some can be used in the oven as well. These pieces are meant to bring moments of beauty and appreciation into the simple aspects of everyday living. Have a favorite coffee cup, a teapot for that special looseleaf you brew to treat yourself and relax, fill a vase with things from your yard, just because. Art and beauty do not need to be reserved for exclusive outings and extra special occasions, do things because you unabashedly enjoy life every day.
